My route in Ireland Where did I cycle?
I followed roughly the coastline of the Ireland, but I didn't see the sea in the first week because I cycled trough the interior of the island, from Dublin via Kilkenny to Cork.
Between Cork and Killarney I cycled mostly right next to the sea, along the coastline of the south-western peninsulas. For me this was the most exciting part.
I took the bus from Galway back to Dublin. In the end I had cycled 1004 miles.

The Weather?
Ireland is known for its wet but mild climate. I had only 3 or 4 days in 3 weeks without any rain, but also only 3 or 4 days with only rain. Often it was wet in the morning and got dry later that day.

Getting to and around Ireland with a bicycle
Irelands national airline Aer Lingus accepts reservations for bicycles, but you'll have to pay for it. I payed fl55 (= about 25 Euros) for each trip. The lowcost airline Ryanair takes also bicycles for 15 euros per leg. But you can't make a reservation for it, and they'll take it only if there's enough space left. Ryanair flies from London, Brussels and Frankfurt/Hahn to Shannon and Dublin (Frankfurt only Shannon)
Once you're in Ireland you can take you bike onto the Bus Eireann long distance busses and on trains

Where to stay
There are enough campsites in Ireland to cycle from one to another. most of them have good prices for cyclists with tent. Some campsites are on www.camping-ireland.ie.
There is bed&breakfast-accomodation in nearly every village or town. There are also lots of youth-hostel, HI as well as private hostels.
