Kilkenny-Glogheen (122km)
It was still raining in the morning, but I wanted to leave, so I just started cycling. Fortunatly it stopped raining somewhere around noon. My plan was to cycle to Clomnel, the campsite was on top of a high and steep hill. When I stopped at a crossing to take a look on my map, a friendly Irish driver stopped too to help me. I thought that I had to go to the left, up the hill to get to the campsite, but he told me to take the next one left. So I did. When I arrived at the campsite it was closed, probably because of mouth-and-foot-disease. And not only that, onto which I wanted to turn left, was right in front of the campsite, and because of the advice of the cardriver I had made a detour. So I learned that day that Irishmen are so eagerly to help you, that they'll help you even if they don't know where they are. Cycling down the hill was a lot easier than cycling up the hill, while I needed nearly an hour to get up, I was down in about 10 minutes! After that I decided to go to Glogheen. It was already getting dark, and by the time I arrived in Glogheen I cycled right along the campsite without seeing it, and I searched for half an hour or so, before someone could tell me where it was.

Glogheen-Caher-Glogheen (39 km)
(See map above; this triangle-shaped-route)
Again a day with only rain, rain and again rain. But I wanted to do something, so I cycled to the city of Caher and perhaps further to Cashel (which I didn't do because it was to wet that day.) Caher was a nice, friendly town with a large castle. After havind done some shopping I cycled back to my tent via Ardfinnan. There was a storm that night, and my tent started leaking a bit. The worst thing was that my outer-tent was blown away in the middle of the night, and I had to jump out of my tent in only my underpants to put it back in place. ;-)
