Glogheen-Blarney (99km)
As ussual it was raining in the morning, and it stopped later that day. I tried to visit the Micheltown caves, but it didn't work out because I was alone, and there were no other people to make a group. Later that day the sky turned beautifull blue. In the county Cork, I cycled on the large N8 and the N73, but they both head large slow-traffic-lanes, which where perfect for me to cycle. After I turned onto a number of smaller roads, I cycled along a house with to really scary dogs in the garden, which didn't seem to like me. And just at that moment my wallet fell out of my pocket! That was the worst thing that could happen at that moment. I had to get off my bicycle, and walk back to these large, barking dogs to pick my wallet up again. But somehow I worked out well, and it looked a bit like the dogs were impressed by me, because I dared to walk right towards them! I can't remember a day where a have had this much adrenalin in my blood! I tried to cycle around the city of Cork, but somehow I found myself after a while inside it. I found the official road to Blarney too large and dangerous so I cycled trough a couple of residential areas to Blarney. The campsite at Blarney was large, but nice and inexpensive, and best of all: Free hot showers!

Cork (0km)
I had a bit trouble with my knee, so I decided to have another cultural day. I took the bus to Cork, where I visited the Cork City Goal (a prison-museum) and I had a look at the city itself. Later that day I went back to Blarney where I went into the Castle (But I didn't kiss the Blarney-stone!)
By the way: I couldn't find any fast-food in Blarney :-/
